CHECKING THE VACUUM AT THE UHLE BOXES
Easily compare the vacuum on both tender and drive side of the paper machine. Found a discrepancy? Take away the cause (contamination inside the Uhle box, piping lay-out or valve dislocation) and use the RealVac to confirm if your fix was successful.
The vacuum available at the Uhle box can differ tremendously from the vacuum produced by the pump.
Piping, (contaminated) valves and other consumers connected to the same system will influence the vacuum at every position. Therefore, if you want to check the vacuum at the Uhle boxes there is only one place to measure.
The Feltest RealVac is also a very helpful tool to set the vacuum valve on-site when there is no fixed manometer located nearly.
