Feltest Equipment develop and produce instruments and tools to measure paper machine clothing, like forming fabrics, press felts and dryer screens. Our instruments are used world-wide by service engineers of all major paper machine clothing companies.

At Feltest Equipment, product development is done by service engineers who deal every day with the typical demands and circumstances of the paper industry. THE LATEST NEWS

On the SPCI 2008 exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden, and the PTS Paper Symposium in Munich, Germany, Feltest Equipment showed two protypes of new instruments: the newest version of the FiberScan and the completely new Tensio+

 

Tensio+ developments

The Tensio+ prototype is now being tested under real-life conditions in the paper industry. We test on as many paper machines as possible, low- and high speed, low- and high tension, forming fabrics, press felts and dryer screens and even transfer belts. As usual after the first trials, both the on-board software and the hardware will need some further adjustments. The expected delivery date has been moved to the first quarter of 2009.

 

New names for the FiberScan!

With the newest version of the Feltest FiberScan to be introduced in the 4th quarter of this year, the time has come to announce the new names for the two versions. The current model with a separate sensor and control unit and currently known as FiberScan MkII will be named FiberScan 2. The new integrated unit, with sensor and display in one light-weight construction will be called FiberScan 1. We really couldn't make it any clearer...
