3 good reasons to use the Feltest FabricProfilerTM on forming fabrics.
-
Make full width profiles of both caliper and tension
-
Zoom-in on areas that require extra attention
-
Start optimizing both fabric - and paper production
Fabric tension and caliper significantly affect paper profiles
Irregular fabric properties lead to irregular dewatering of the sheet. Tension differences change dimensions and shape of the dewatering holes and caliper variations influence the drainage speed. Both cause differences in paper sheet dryness, strength and possibly printability. Feltest FabricProfilerTM is the tool to check the uniformity of the fabric; both in the paper machine as during fabric production.
Zoom in on the details
Optional it can be fitted with a digital camera with built-in lightning and a macro lens, all fully remote-controled. The camera makes clear, high quality pictures. Even details like wear burrs can be visualised by zooming in. Streaming pictures to a controling laptop computer enables a full visual inspection.

Much care is given to the drive concept: the special soft rubber caterpillars are absolutely marking free. Due to its well-balanced design, high-grip caterpillars and stabilizing counter plate it can run on slopes of up to 150, even on wet forming fabrics.
The fabricProfilerTM in the paper machine
Producing profiles while the fabric is still wet and tensioned in the paper machine? Possible and very comparable to the working conditions. Deviations can be localized far more precise. The FabricProfilerTM measurements during machine stops produce extremely valuable information enabling immediate corrective actions!
The fabricProfilerTM in fabric production
Already several forming fabric suppliers use the FabricProfilerTM in their production / quality assurance departments. The quickly obtained full-width profiles help to control on weaving -, heatsetting - and grinding processes. An FFT analysis software tool is included.
