Knowing the condition of press felts
It is always benificiary to monitor the condition of the press felts in your paper machine. Of course for a secure planning of machine stops, but also for trouble shooting when confronted with quality or runnability problems.
Other important parameters are the applied vacuum on the Uhle box (Feltest RealVac), the caliper of the felt (Feltest Caliper Profiler) and the water content (Feltest PresScan).

The Feltest AirSpeed/2, designed for press felts
The Feltest AirSpeed/2 is designed to be used on running press felts. The low-friction plastic head contains a high precision vane that accurately measures the air velocity through the felt. With the 'record-to-memory' function the minimum and maximum values can be read after each test. All parts are robust and suitable for the rough, corrosive environment of paper mills.
